We had a blast working with Salvage Hunters last year and now it is being aired.
The new series starts on Quest on Wednesday 7th September at 21.00. We feature in episode 1 (07.09.16 at 21.00) on the Quest Channel – Freeview Channel 37 (+ 1 Channel 38). You can also find Quest on Sky Channel 144 (+1 Channel 195), Virgin Channel 172 (+1 Channel 173).
You may be wondering why we have changed our website colours to blue? Well, firstly we wanted to make a stronger link back to our old Howorth Wrightson name and colour as many of our valued customers will still remember us.
Also though we wanted to keep us distinct from our sister company in the south just to avoid any confusion over which location you are hiring from.

Julie’s Bicycle paired up with the RSA’s Great Recovery to host a tour of Scenery Salvages’ recycling facility recently.
BBC Radio came along to see us at Scenery Salvage to speak to Tim Williams and Designer Anthony Neil about how he helps set designers achieve their visions without the usual huge costs associated with set creation. He also speaks of how film students are benefiting directly by understanding the true cost of set creation and then getting a much better deal with recycled props and scenery.

Welcome to Stockyard North and our new website. Why the change? Well we thought it was time to harmonise our services with our sister company The Stockyard based in Park Royal, London. We have also revamped the old Wishlist system for prop hire and it is now “Price Requests”.
We have made the new website mobile and tablet friendly too so you can see our latest props on the move more easily.

We are delighted to now be able to offer props from the acclaimed Mr Selfridge TV series. These are actual props from the sets and includes many shop display items and counters, seating and the gorgeous art deco family fireplace. Many are based here in Manchester and some at the Stockyard branch in Park Royal.
Yep its true. The end of June will see us taking over a much larger building with which to expand into. Fortunately it’s only next door and will give us the opportunity to display everything as it should be. We are currently developing new pieces in both quantity and style, meeting with new suppliers daily to bring a game changing prop hire company to the North West. Also nearing its completion is our unique events service which aims to educate and change the way in which we party, more to follow soon on this.
Our transport service is now in full swing, offering articulated 45’ trailers, 7.5 tonne lorries and a long wheel base transit for all of your props and scenery moves, please note that this isn’t specific to just our props or scenery, ring now for quotes.
