Set recycling – some of our supporters

By 4th April 2016 January 19th, 2017 No Comments

We all at Stockyard strongly promote set and scenery recycling as a better alternative to discarding the materials. Landfill is expensive and bad for the planet! Here are some of our supporters.

Julie’s Bicycle paired up with the RSA’s Great Recovery to host a tour of Scenery Salvages’ recycling facility recently.

BBC Radio came along to see us at Scenery Salvage to speak to Tim Williams and Designer Anthony Neil about how he helps set designers achieve their visions without the usual huge costs associated with set creation. He also speaks of how film students are benefiting directly by understanding the true cost of set creation and then getting a much better deal with recycled props and scenery.

We work closely with Media Greenhouse who’s strap line is ‘The home of environmental sustainability for the UK screen arts. The place to share, learn & act on our impact.’ and we were featured in their monthly newsletter in 2014. Read more>>

Our recycling centre was featured in episode 10 of ‘Salvage Hunters, series 6’ by Curve Media.
