It’s Going Tibia Okay – Medical Props For All Your Hospital Needs

It is always a tense moment when you see the trailer of the new series of your favourite show and you see a shot of a hospital waiting room. We have all the props you would need to create these suspenseful shots!

(Brassic, Sky TV 2019)

You can see a lot of our medical props in Brassic, whether it’s within the doctor’s office or the hospital. Whilst a doctor’s office is usually the same wherever you go in the country, there are always different items from posters to the personal dressings on the desk that make each doctor’s office unique.

It’s no surprise due to the popularity and intensity these scenes add to a show, that our medical supplies and office bumpf go out on a regular basis. Check out one of our previous blog posts talking about all of our office bumpf which you can incorporate within your doctors offices.

(Toxic Town, Netflix 2025)

We have a range of props from the 19th-century medical equipment to modern-day new equipment. Stockyard North has a few decaying silicone bodies and limbs that can be used within morgue scenes or be a part of a scene where a body is recovered. All of these items can be used within a medical setting but you can also have the equipment to be used as torture utensils. BBC’s new crime drama ‘Virdee’ used a lot of our props both medical and garage to create their torture scene at the end of the series.

How To Create A Hospital Room On A Budget:

A hospital scene is a staple in dramas that can be done quite cheaply and effectively with the right props. We have attached a YouTube video below discussing the ways both, big blockbusters and small indie films create these rooms and how it can be done on a small budget.

When looking at most hospital and doctors’ rooms, it is very sterile. With walls tending to be a white or light pastel, depending on what room you are in. Adding some essential props such as a hospital bed and a monitor will instantly transform the room into a hospital room. Then adding props such as furniture or personal dressings will help show the era.
